This page explains the limitations of Scampede's scam detection service. Please read it carefully before relying on our results to make decisions about websites, phone numbers, messages, or financial transactions.
Scampede's risk scores are generated by automated analysis and third-party threat intelligence data. While we work hard to make our detection as accurate as possible, no automated system is perfect.
There are two types of errors our system can produce:
Our threat intelligence feeds update regularly, but there is always a gap between when a new scam appears and when it enters our database. Newly registered phishing sites are particularly likely to evade detection in their first 24–72 hours.
Scampede is a tool to help inform your decisions — it is not a replacement for your own critical thinking. Before sharing personal information, making payments, or clicking links on any website, you should:

Nothing on Scampede constitutes legal advice, financial advice, or professional security advice. Our content — including blog posts, scam type guides, and detection results — is provided for general informational purposes only.
If you have been the victim of fraud or financial crime, please contact your bank, local law enforcement, and your national consumer protection authority. We are not a law enforcement agency and cannot investigate scams, recover funds, or take action against individual scammers.
Scampede's database includes data sourced from PhishTank, ScamSniffer, the CFPB Consumer Complaint Database, IPQualityScore, and community submissions. We do not independently verify every record in these datasets. While we review community submissions before publishing them, errors may exist.
If you believe a report on Scampede about your website, phone number, or business is inaccurate, please contact us at reports@scampede.com with supporting evidence. We will investigate and correct any confirmed errors promptly.
Our blog posts, guides, and scam type pages may contain links to external websites including government agencies, consumer protection organisations, and cybersecurity resources. These links are provided for your convenience. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. Linking to an external site does not constitute an endorsement.
Scampede displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. These ads are clearly marked. Ad content is determined by Google's algorithms and does not constitute an endorsement by Scampede of any advertised product or service. We do not accept direct advertising or sponsored content that influences our detection results.
Our detection results, verdicts, and database entries are not influenced by commercial relationships of any kind. We flag what our data indicates is risky regardless of advertiser status.
We aim to keep Scampede available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Maintenance, third-party service outages, or technical issues may cause temporary unavailability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from inability to access the Service.
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Scampede after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Disclaimer.
