Student loan — ECMC GROUP, INC. (MO)

Problem with customer service. On XX/XX/2024 I received a letter from ECMC stating that I " did not pay the full balance of your defaulted federal student loan within 60 days of the notice of default. '' I never received any correspondence from this company. I was never notified that they were my loan servicer, how to pay, or my total balance. They gave my debt to a collection agency and reported my account as delinquent and in collections to the credit agencies. How can my account be deliquent if I was never notified that ECMC was handling my student loan?
