Checking or savings account — CITIBANK, N.A. (GA)

Can't close your account. I attempted to close a Citibank checking account it had high fees, I never received a debit card despite my request, and their website 's interface to request a new debit card doesn't work. Upon requesting to close my account, I was told I needed a debit card to close it, which I never received. However, my request to a customer service agent to get a new debit card was declined. I was told I need to go to a Citibank branch, which does not exist in my state. As such, Citi is requiring me to keep my account open without a debit card, presumably racking up fees in the process. This is unacceptable.
