Escrow, taxes, or insurance. In XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX, we received a tax bill from XXXX in the amount of {$3900.00}. We assumed, because we were paying into escrow, that Freedom Mortgage was receiving our tax bill and would pay that tax bill from the escrow funds. We own two related parcels of land, a condo and a parking spot. This relates to the condo. On XX/XX/XXXX, we received a notice of delinquency indicating that the taxes had not been paid and that we would be incurring a penalty of {$130.00}. Not wanting to incur further penalties, we paid the tax bill and the penalty amount. ( Notices and receipts of payment are attached. ) Our mortgage is fairly new and our mortgage was sold to Freedom Mortgage shortly after obtaining it, so I assumed this was a wrinkle that could be easily work
