Fees charged. I made a deposit to my depository account with my current financial institution and upon doing so, the funds were applied to an incorrect depository account. I was not aware of this information until after I scheduled my mortgage payment and was notified by my mortgage company that the payment was missed. Immediately upon discovery of the issue, I rescheduled my mortgage payment and called the mortgage company to explain the situation. The customer service reps were unwilling to budge and refund my fees. They informed me that I was charged a late fee AND a return check fee. There was never a check involved but they said they just charge a return check fee for every return even it is ACH. I don't agree with that.
