Cashing a check. I been dealing with this situation since XX/XX/year>. I already tired to do a complaint with Cfpb. The case was closed and claimed as resolved. The check i deposited is for my stepmom from the treasury dept. It was cashed but then held. They claimed that a check from santander bank was mailed via usps back to the treasury dept. My stepmom has been in contact with the treasury dept and no check has been received from santander. The Treasury dept said that the initial check was cashed via electronic but santander is claiming that they sent a check thru the mail. Santander bank has been no help at all to resolve this issue and for cashing this check that is not stolen or a fraud. Instead of just not accepting the check. I believe santander did really wrong and here we are on
