Debt is not yours. This is my second complaint that American express didn't contact me regarding the credit card debt ( not mine ) and only did it through law suit. They said they going to investigate in their fraud department. With them not corrupting I had to hire a lawyer because they wanted me to contact their law firm regarding the lawsuit. My lawyer tried to contact them and very difficult to deal with. When my lawyer filed former response to the court they tried to go to mediation and then dropped the case. American express cost me a few XXXX dollars in legal fees that could be avoided if worked with me and looked into it. Once I lawyer and knew they couldn't get a judgment against me they ran away. I like to get my legal fees back because this was so unnecessary!
