Debt collection — Rowland Avenue Management, Inc. A/KA Columbia Debt Recovery, LLC d/b/a Genesis (PA)

Attempted to collect wrong amount. I am disputing a lease-related collection placed by Genesis Credit Management ( Columbia Debt Recovery LLC ) for an apartment at The Pennsylvanian in XXXX. On XX/XX/year>, I submitted a formal dispute via email to XXXX and received no response. Per FDCPA 15 U.S.C. 1692g ( b ), they are required to pause collection and validate the debt once a written dispute is received. They did not. The original landlord mailed the final balance to a PO Box I only used temporarily. I never received that notice. The landlord later admitted in writing that they had no confirmation of my key return and could not complete move-out processing or send my security deposit due to lack of a forwarding address.
