Unable to receive car title or other problem after the loan is paid off. I satisfied the auto loan on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX for my XXXX XXXX XXXX. Truist sent me a letter on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, the letter was a lien release and also stated that the title will be sent to me by the state of West Virginia. I called Truist to dispute this as West Virginia does not hold the title and is held by the lien holder. The person I spoke with could not understand what a title is as they kept saying that it was sent to me. Eventually they say said they would expedite the title. In the meantime, I contacted the West Virginia DMV and they verified that do not have the title but I could request a duplicate title, for a fee.
