Cashing a check. I am filing a complaint regarding a case of check fraud involving a student aid refund that was issued to me. Bank of America stated the following regarding check number XXXX in the amount of {$1200.00} The funds were distributed through BankMobile as part of my student financial aid. I was supposed to receive a refund check. However, the check was cashed at Bank of America by someone else without my authorization. I do not have an account with BankMobile nor with Bank of America. I never received or endorsed the check. I filed a dispute with the bank, but it was denied, even though I provided clear evidence that I was not the one who cashed the check.
