Account status incorrect. In XX/XX/XXXX I applied for a loan for housing and moving assistance and was denied because the letter from the Department of Education that declared my student loans were completely discharged was not supported by data supplied by XXXX ( Student Loan Servicer ) in XXXX. When I reviewed my Credit reports from XXXX, Equifax and XXXX they all showed the duplicate loan with an " open '' status. On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX, XXXX, Federal Student Aid, and the Student Loan Management Department. None of these entities was willing to correct the information sent to the credit bureaus. I was told that my only remedy was to write a letter of Dispute to XXXX : ATTN : Credit Bur eau Management.
