Account status incorrect. Synchrony Bank closed my XXXX XXXX credit card account on XX/XX/XXXX. Despite the account being closed, Synchrony has continued to report new late payment and/or derogatory marks for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX ( see attached screenshots ). A closed account can not accrue new late payments because no payment is due after closure. These post-closure late/derogatory marks are factually inaccurate and violate FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) accuracy requirements ( see CFPB consent orders against Synchrony Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX ).
