Overdrafts and overdraft fees. I am a joint account holder on a Navy Federal checking account enrolled in Optional Overdraft Protection Service ( OOPS ). Navy Federals disclosure states that OOPS is available up to {$500.00}, with the account potentially overdrawn up to {$550.00} to accommodate fees or a transaction. Despite this disclosure, the account was permitted to reach a negative balance exceeding {$2500.00} due to multiple debit card transactions related to a car rental. These transactions were authorized and posted even after the disclosed OOPS limit had been exceeded. I submitted a formal written dispute requesting an explanation for why transactions were not declined once the OOPS limit was reached, and requesting that Navy Federal identify any policy or agreement author
