Reporting company used your report improperly. I am writing to file a formal complaint against the Credit Reporting Agencies ( CRAs ) for violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically Section 15 USC 1681b ( a ) ( 2 ), which governs the permissible purpose of furnishing consumer reports. The FCRA explicitly states : " A consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : ( 2 ) In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' I DID NOT provide any written authorization or written instructions to the CRAs to report or share my consumer report information.
