Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card. I am filing a complaint regarding Capital Ones failure to conduct a reasonable investigation into a fraudulent transaction, in violation of federal law. The disputed charge was allegedly made in person at XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. Capital One representatives have acknowledged internally that my physical card was in my possession at the time of the transaction, and I was not in XXXX. Despite these facts, Capital One denied my fraud claim primarily on the basis that the transaction was processed as EMV/tap. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1666 ) and Regulation Z ( 12 C.F.R. 1026.13 ), Capital One is required to conduct a reasonable investigation and bears th
