Didn't receive notice of right to dispute. On XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered a collection account reported by Pro Collect in the amount of {$330.00} on my credit report, allegedly owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TX. I immediately contacted the apartment complex, and they confirmed that they have no record of any outstanding balance or debt owed by me. They further advised that the account appeared to be fraudulent and instructed me to file a police report. Based on this information, I filed a police report for identity theft. Police Report Number : XXXX. I then contacted Pro Collect and formally requested validation of the alleged debt. In response, Pro Collect provided a copy of an online application that does not belong to me and does not substantiate that I incurred or authorized
