Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement. In late 2025, I used PayPal Credit ( issued by Synchrony Bank ) to purchase a high-value item online. The charge posted to my PayPal Credit account shortly thereafter. The merchandise was never received by me. After allowing reasonable time for delivery, I contacted PayPal Credit and filed a billing dispute for non-receipt of merchandise. Synchrony Bank denied the dispute based solely on carrier tracking information indicating the item was delivered. No evidence was provided that the merchandise was delivered to me, such as a signature confirmation, delivery photo, or carrier documentation verifying delivery to my address.
