Received bad information about my loan. I am a XXXX, XXXX years ago consolidated my loans through Navient in order to enroll in the civil service loan forgiveness program. I was instructed by navient to lower my monthly payment from the aprx. XXXX a month that I was paying, to the minimum payment. They stated that after XXXX years of consecutive payments I would be forgiven of my loans. They enrolled me in autopay and put me on a payment plan that they said was the payment plan required for the student loan forgiveness program. They informed me that I was now enrolled in the program and that as long as I did not miss a payment I would have my loans forgiven in XXXX years.
