Their investigation did not fix an error on your report. I had a lien from XXXX County Georgia on my credit report. The lien was " withdrawn '' by the state, but Georgia has no process to report to credit agencies that the lien was withdrawn. The report is showing the lien as " released '' which was true at one time, but now the state has " withdrawn '' the lien but does not have a system in place to report to the agencies. You will see that I have attached the delinquent tax payer list directly from the Georgia website and my name is not on it. XXXX and XXXX have both removed the item from my report, but Equifax reported back that the lien is justified. It should be removed since it is a " withdrawn '' lien.
