Other problem. I received a letter from DISCOVER dated XX/XX/XXXX in which I was asked to provide updated information on " citizenship and occupation ''. It was stated in this letter that this information was needed " to meet government guidelines that prevent money laundering and terrorist financing ''. I was provided a choice of either going online or calling the number on the back of my credit card in order to provide this information. I did neither! I was appalled at what was being asked of DISCOVER customers! It is a known fact that questions about citizenship and employment/occupation are requested when one first applies for a credit card. I was also informed that the only government required information from a credit card customer is an actual physical address ; this being an ou
