Company closed your account. My Wells Fargo account was inactive as I had switched over to XXXX and was using it primarily as a savings account. They were not happy with that and sent me letters saying due to inactivity my account was frozen which was fine because I wasn't actively using the money. Around XX/XX/2017 I finally got around to going to the bank to close out my account and consolidate my finances. It was at that time I was told there was no money in my account. Wells Fargo had sent a check for the amount in my account to my associated address which as a young person I move a lot and was 3 addresses ago.
