Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card. XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX submitted a FICO credit score application to check on credit through the Citibank website. Received score and was pleasantly surprised to see the results. The intentions were to open a new credit card to start restoring credit. Citibank website suggested the Citi Preferred Thank You card along with the AAdvantage card applications. After reviewing the choices I decided to apply for the Preferred Thank You card considering it was suggested after my credit report was ran. Surprisingly my application was declined after submission. I feel that with the running of my credit report, knowing the results and offering a credit card that had high chances of it being declined was very misleading and it will leave an inquiry
