Their investigation did not fix an error on your report. I filed a Bankruptcy in XXXX of 2011 which did not go through and was closed with out discharge by the BK court which makes not an official BK. I have disputed this with Equifax over the years to have it removed on several occasions to no avail and I am not happy. It is my understanding that Equifax searches for public records with out investigation and does not care to see if the BK is legitimate or not. I was told this by the BK court. Credit Bureaus should not be allowed to do this kind of unfair, predatory and hurtful practice on consumers and they should be punished.
