Problem during payment process. I went to CapitalOne 's web site to pay my credit card bill for the month before it was due. After logging on, I received an error that said 'We 're sorry, we hit a snag Looks like something went wrong, but we're working on it. Give it another try it a bit '. I went back a few day later and paid the bill. I was then assessed a 'late payment fee '. I complained about the fee after I had paid it. I told CapitalOne about the web site error and the refunded the late fee. I told them to remove the late payment from my payment history. They keep saying they refunded the late payment fee because of the server problem. I have demanded that they remove any record of a late payment in XX/XX/2018 and they say they can't do it. I want it removed immediately.
