Can't use card to make purchases. Due date for this month for my Chase Sapphire Preferred account was XX/XX/2018. I paid the balance IN FULL from a XXXX checking account online on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX EST. The payment completely cleared by XX/XX/XXXX. Logging into my Chase account showed that mathematically the payment had been applied and normal credit line open. On XX/XX/XXXX, a {$150.00} purchase at XXXX XXXX in my billing county was declined. I called the customer service number and was told on new accounts like mine that the account is put on hold. I was never told when the hold would be removed that I was never notified of until the decline. There are zero messages in my online account.
