Their investigation did not fix an error on your report. On XX/XX/2018, I noticed that there is an unrecognized account on my Equifax credit report. It shows that the account was open on XX/XX/2018. I have never opened this account and so I disputed online through Equifax website. Today I received a notice about my dispute that the account has not been removed from my credit report. The credit reporting agency didn't responsibly investigate the account. Later I know that this account was opened by a person who has a similar name with me in the same apartment building. However, he has a different apartment number as me. Equifax mistakenly matched his data with mine. Equifax 's investigation didn't find this and its system still mixed my file with the other 's.
