Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement. I made a restaurant charge at a restaurant called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX located in XXXX XXXX XXXX. The charge was billed to me in dollars after I requested the charge to be in pesos - the local currency. The exchange rate the restaurant charged was {$200.00} over the going exchange rate. When I asked multiple times for the correction, it was refused. I consider the exchange rate scheme to be FRAUD by the restaurant. I disputed the charge 5 times or more with CitiBank [ the issuer of the credit card ] and they refused to make an adjustment because they said that the charge was correct. I explained that the charge was not correct because they used a fraudulent exchange scheme. Citi refused to be helpful.
