Public record information inaccurate. I paid off a judgment years ago, Capitol One never released it with XXXX XXXX County, Iowa and I am now unable to close on a house that I am trying to purchase. I spoke to Capitol One on XX/XX/2019 and Capitol One keeps telling me it is in " legal '' and they don't have a telephone number for legal. I really need to close on my house and the bank won't lend the money because of this old judgment that I paid off long ago. Someone told me it appears that Capitol One is possibly doing this as part of its strategy to fight a bankruptcy ruling where it was sanctioned : https : XXXX I hope this is not true, I just want to close on my house.
