Credit card or prepaid card — SYNCHRONY FINANCIAL (TX)

Can't use card to make purchases. I been a Synchrony bank/J.C Penney credit card customer for at least five years now. However, recently for reason unknown to me Synchrony bank first, resorted to preventing me from using my card and second has closed the account altogether. I last, checked in on XX/XX/2020 and was surprised to see the account status as closed for no good reason. As previously stated the account has been open for about five and in such time not a single payment has been made late nor is there a due balance on the account. I was neither informed of synchrony bank intentions of closing my account and in fact planned to use it soon.
