Debt is not yours. On XX/XX/2020 Informed by XXXX XXXX my credit score adjusted down due to a delinquent debt. XXXX referred me to XXXX. on XX/XX/2020 Spoke with XXXX and refuted the debt. XXXX spoke with Monterey Collections asking for verification of appropriateness of the debt to me as well as providing proof to me of the debt. Monterey informed XXXX that the debt is indeed mine and valid. My SSN was not verified against this debt, since no information was provided as to the actual creditors SSN. The verification depended upon an address within my credit file that is not correct as a previous or current address.
