Account status incorrect. Experian is showing a credit card account as " charged off '', which is negatively affecting my credit score. XXXX XXXX incorrectly closed my credit card and reported the credit card as " charged off '', which caused the credit agencies to adversely lower my credit score. I contacted XXXX XXXX about the mistake and was informed a letter was sent to the credit reporting agencies, informing them that my name has since been removed from the card and my responsibility for the card has since been terminated. This incident occurred in the summer of 2017. The incorrect information is causing irreparable harm in searching for a mortgage lender.
