Account opened as a result of fraud. I received an unsolicited Debit card in the mail this week from Chime bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). The card was ready to use with name, number, chip etc. so goes beyond typical " mock '' cards used in advertising. Only instructions were to download the app to activate the card. If this is an advertising effort I am highly concerned with their approach and with no additional details about the account I believe this marketing is counter to appropriate banking/lending marketing laws. I am highly concerned as I am unsure if this is marketing or identity theft and an account was opened in my name.
