Reporting company used your report improperly. HARD INQUIRIES i applied to purchase a new vehicle ( and vehicle insurance ) and the dealership submitted my information to several companies that placed a hard inquiry on my credit report. I called the credit bureaus to see what can be done, they advised me to contact each company to have them sent me a inquiry deletion letter but the companies do not know of such a letter. I called the credit bureaus back for assistance and was advised of my options which are to obtain a letter of deletion, file a police report or contact CFPB. I did not want to file a police report.
