Other problem getting your report or credit score. Id like to know why the elderly are being penalized for not having debt, in that their credit score declines as they choose to live debt free. My XXXX year old brother in law tried to have his mortgage lowered, ( a mortgage that was written illegally in XXXX XXXX, and they said, unfortunately we see low credit scores pretty often with older people because they dont have debt. How is this allowed to happen? I would like to request someone with the power to do so have a large discussion about this. Being debt free for someone born during the depression is supposed to be a positive thing, and to be punished via a low credit score is XXXX. For what its worth.
