Account status incorrect. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX to request a downgrade of my XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX card as I was no longer interested in paying the {$170.00} annual fee. I didn't think the fee justified the cards benefit. The representative presented various credit cards I could downgrade to that did not have an annual fee. After a 90-minute conversation, I decided to downgrade to the lower tier of the XX/XX/XXXX card that did not the annual key. I also allowed the representative to charge my checking account for the annual fee of {$170.00} in case the downgrade process takes long in order to avoid being charge a late fee since the annual fee was due. The representative ensured me everything be process and I will receive the new card in a few weeks. In the first half of XXX
