Their investigation did not fix an error on your report. In XX/XX/XXXX, someone fraudulently applied for a XXXX credit card in my name, I immediately contacted the credit guarantor and they launched an investigation. The result was that fraudulent information was used in the attempt to obtain a card with my ssn. The persons application for the card was not approved. XXXX stated that they would begin the process to remove the hard inquiry from all three of my credit bureau reports. To this day, XX/XX/XXXX, the inquiry remains and has NOT been removed. This was AFTER I submitted a complaint to CFPB and the XXXX concerning this matter.
