Debt collection — Convergent Resources, Inc. (TX)

Debt was result of identity theft. To whom it may concern, I became aware of a collections amount of {$520.00} from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. The debt was for an electricity service used at address XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX. I have never lived or worked at this address. I also did not authorized my information to be used here. To dispute this debt, I first contacted the collection agency Convergent and made them aware this was due to identity theft. I was advised by Convergent to contact XXXX XXXX directly to resolve this issue. I called XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and was told by a representative that I needed to provide a police report and proof of residence during the time of when the service was used, which was between XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX
