Debt is not yours. I recieved a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX telling me that I needed to pay off a debt within XXXX hours or face legal action, garnishment of wages, etc. I normally suspect these things are robocallers but this was from an actual person. They left the number XXXX XXXX XXXX to call back, and when I called the woman on the line revealed my social security number and several past addresses to convince me it was a real collections. Worrying that maybe this an old debt due to identity theft that happened to me around XXXX, I asked them why I had never received any prior communications regarding this.
