Their investigation did not fix an error on your report. I was incarcerated for fifteen years and got out and seen someone had lived under my name while I was gone, I reported fraud and identity theft at that time then went to a lawyer because no one would fix the problem, and the lawyer I called advised me to file bankruptcy and that would get these fraudulent items off my credit report but the lawyer was giving me false information just to get me to pay him XXXX XXXX dollars and lied to me because none of the fraud accounts have been removed off my credit report, Ive been fighting this for years and no one seems to care about the facts that I was in federal custody till 2018 and all the accounts were open many years before that year.
