Debt was result of identity theft. I noticed on XX/XX/XXXX that my XXXX credit report had three different collections on my account, all from energy companies located in Texas, where I have never lived or ever heard of. One was from the collector XXXX XXXX XXXX, from the original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for the amount of # XXXX. I had received collections letters in the mail from this collection, and I followed up by calling XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX notifying that it was fraudulent or a result of identify theft and they made note of it and asked for my social security number to report it to the credit bureau, which I did not feel comfortable providing.
