Trouble with how payments are being handled. My student loans are serviced by Mohela, which recently transitioned their payment portal from Mohela.com to Mohela.studentaid.gov. My loans were transitioned over a few week period in mid XXXX, 2024. I made a {$2000.00} payment before my loan was transitioned on XX/XX/XXXX, which was cashed by Mohela, but was not applied to my loan balance. I have contacted them multiple times by phone and by email but they are unable to resolve this discrepancy. I filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX, and Mohela responded that they would only work directly with me. It has now been over a month and they still have not applied the payment and are charging me interest on an incorrect balance.
