Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement. XX/XX/2024 : I received a text from someone who I thought was my boss asking me to purchase a gift card for him, take pictures of it, and then send it to him. Also, XX/XX/2024 : Purchased a {$600.00} worth of gift cards from XXXX. I realized it was a scam after I sent the activated gift cards to the scammer. I didn't benefit from this transaction. I reported this to Chase ( XXXX, credit card ) and was assured I would not be responsible for the charge and issued a new card. In addition, I filed a police report with the XXXX XXXX Police Department. XX/XX/2024 : Chase returned the charge to my account and said they would not protect me from this scam.
